The Tap & Run
Our client faced a daunting challenge when a devastating fire wreaked havoc on this premises. After the fire, the pub's management, in collaboration with the construction & insurance company, embarked on an extensive renovation project. This endeavour aimed to not only restore the pub to its former glory but also introduce new features and ensure a safe and efficient infrastructure.
The project commenced with the removal of redundant cables & electrical equipment, creating a clean slate for the subsequent upgrades. Upstairs, a thoughtful redesign transformed the space into a House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) and incorporated a walk-in chiller, addressing both residential and kitchen staff needs.
To accommodate the increased electrical demands, existing Distribution Boards (DB's) were substantially upgraded, ensuring a seamless integration of additional equipment. Small power outlets were strategically installed throughout the premises, providing versatility and convenience in various operational aspects.
The kitchen, as the operational heart of the venue, underwent a detailed electrical fit-out to support modern cooking equipment. This improved efficiency and positioned The Tap & Run at the forefront of contemporary culinary practices.
Considering the ambience, decorative lighting was carefully placed to create an inviting and visually appealing atmosphere. Simultaneously, a discreet yet effective sound system with strategically positioned speakers throughout the ground floor enhanced the overall auditory experience for patrons.
Safety and security were paramount considerations. A comprehensive CCTV system was installed both internally and externally, offering real-time monitoring across all areas of the establishment. Additionally, a state-of-the-art fire alarm system was implemented, ensuring coverage for every corner of the premises and enabling a swift response in case of emergencies.
In summary, The Tap & Run's electrical rewire project was a comprehensive endeavour that went beyond mere restoration. The collaboration with everyone involved resulted in a balanced transformation, blending necessary upgrades with a commitment to safety, functionality, and a pleasant environment for patrons and staff alike.
